THE ETHOS
The power of Now
A product of an awakening - a realization that we should live in the Now in order to discover our True Being, to release our pain and find deep inner peace. When we are intensely present in the Now, we respond from deep consciousness and flow with ease and joy in life. The Ethos is an experience, or a channel perhaps, to live in the Now. To consciously breathe in life's beauty & gratitude and exhale all the limiting beliefs. To aid in healing inside and out. We would like to offer a pause in psychological time for the Buffed Woman, who is always known to hustle in the daily life, to live in the Now, to be reminded of the power of Now. Live in the Now, awaken the new you and see how life-empowering this will be.

REMINDERS BEFORE YOUR MASSAGE:
-
Hydrate, but alcohol is a no-no. When you get a massage, your body moves toxins in your body, therefore any ill effects the alcohol has caused may be amplified.
-
If you're feeling ill, it’s best to cancel your massage. If you are sick or have an infection, massage may actually spread the infection to other parts of your body.
TO ENSURE FULL BENEFITS AFTER YOUR MASSAGE:
-
Skip your latte, grab your water bottle. Massage gets your blood circulating and begins to release built-up toxins. Staying hydrated prior to and after a massage will help flush out the toxins and waste products your now improved circulation has moving through your body. Caffeine after a massage can be counterproductive to the muscles that were just worked on.
-
Feeling sore? Add ice. Your massage therapist just released your tight muscles. Deep-rooted muscle tension often requires some deep muscle work that might leave you feeling a little tender or sore after a massage. The best way to treat sore muscles, post massage, is to apply some ice to the area for a quick 10-15 minutes to decrease soreness.
-
Fuel your body. After a massage your body will be firing on all cylinders and you’ll want to provide the necessary fuel. The release of the ‘feel good’ endorphins will have you feeling a natural high. You may also be feeling a bit tired, and maybe a little light headed, grab a snack to give yourself an added energy boost.
-
Postpone your workout. You’re feeling relaxed, your muscles feel loose. It’s best to let your body enjoy how it feels by giving it a chance to rest. We highly recommend you give your body and mind some down time after a massage. Your muscles were just worked and loosened, to avoid risk of injury or overworking a muscle, we suggest you avoid any physical activity for the remainder of the day.
Choose from Lavender (for calmness & relaxation), Eucalyptus (for soothing effects) and Tea Tree (for cleansing & anti-inflammation) for your aromatherapy massage oil.
